As part of the Social and Economic Inclusion project, both LPHU and YMCA carried out research analysing the parallels and gaps between national laws and international standards, which affect how people with disability can access the workforce in the two target countries. This document seeks to provide an English-language introduction to these issues, highlighting the gaps that exist between theory and practice in disability legislation. This includes targeted recommendations, addressing the policies and practices of public, private and civil society organisations in order to build an inclusive environment for people with disabilities.
