The study was done in Balaka, Karonga, Lilongwe and Nsanje Districts. Existing studies, policies and legislation were reviewed. The following focus group discussions and indepth interviews were then conducted: 78 key informant interviews at national, district and community levels; in-depth interviews with 24 boys and 19 girls with different types of disabilities.
